Set following the events of Halo 5 and shortly after a crushing loss, Halo Infinite shows us a destroyed fleet of UNSC that is stranded on the surface of Installation 07, also seriously damaged. Between these remains, a terrifying clan of Brute warriors, the chieftan, seems to now control the ring. Overtaken in every sense, the master boss tries to prevent them from repairing the Halo ring and getting power of the biggest threat to the galaxy.
